So I recently made a comeback on Facebook and other social networks (Twitter, Instagram) and I noticed a trend amongst most of my friends, mostly from high school. They are making it a mission to live a healthier lifestyle and get into better shape so that they can "wear shorts in December". Now, I myself have been on this mission for almost a year now and have lost just over 10kgs (yay), and I've gone down a dress size(and a half).
I am big on motivating people and sharing whatever I know so that we can all be better. It's this woman empowerment thing I've been on for a while now. Feminism, yes... My friends know they can come to me with any questions on health, fitness, beauty, fashion etc. and I will share as much as I can. My knowledge may not always be sufficient as I am no expert. I do, however do as much research as I can and have taken a lot of advice from experts (including Google) such as Lisa Raleigh (one of SA's biggest, best personal trainers), Doctor Oz and guests on some of my favourite TV shows (Expresso, Doctor's Orders, Hello Doctor). Let's just say, when I am really interested in something, I become a semi-expert (if there is such a word). Almost obsessive.
I hate writing long posts, so let me get to the point. Due to the many questions and requests I have been receiving from my friends on the social networks I am on, I have decided to start posting all my tips and research on health, beauty and fitness. Do bear in mind that we all have different bodies so what works for me may not necessarily work for everyone else. I'll do the best I can to accommodate everyone. These posts will be running until December (depending on the response) and you guys can update me on any research you've done or progress you've made, or ask me anything I may know by commenting on my posts.
Getting into shape is never easy. So let's do this together.

ReplyDeleteThanks for your feedback girl! Yes, lemon is good, however my dentist recently told me that too much lemon water wears your teeth out due to its acidity levels. So moderation is best.
