What's Your Struggle?

This healthy lifestyle can be a long struggle for many people. Particularly with food. I love food, I won't lie. I love delicious, carb-packed, warm food. I'm probably saying this because it's almost Winter and I've been having serious cravings for dumplings and stew, cottage pie, chicken macaroni and cheese and lasagne lately (my favourite Winter dinners). So I'll admit, in my missions to cut bad carbs out (particularly in the evenings), I have been struggling to say "No" to fries. It's not that I eat them often, however I have been wanting to cut them out of my diet completely. Forever. But once in while they land up somewhere near me. And someone offers me some... and I reach over and chow away, always feeling kind of guilty the following morning and punishing myself with extra minutes of running.

The truth is I am human. We all are. Some things don't come easy and we need to stop being so hard on ourselves. A year ago, I was struggling to let go of ice-cream. I decided to substitute it with frozen yoghurt (I'm a Wakaberry addict) and Fruitare (It's great stuff!), but every once in a while I had a McFlurry. The last time I had a McFlurry, I couldn't finish it. It was too sweet and too oily for me. And now I am permanently off ice-cream. I can't really tell you what this means... I don't know what to substitute fries for. Luckily I don't buy them myself, so I don't eat them often.

What are you struggling with? Leave a comment and maybe we can help each other out and find substitutes for all that bad food.
